Delete your data

You never sign up for Maky: your profile and albums live on your own phones, not with us. Deleting them takes you out of every album and erases everything Maky kept on your devices.

In the app

1. Open your profile.
2. Choose to delete your data.
3. If you are the only owner of an album, choose who takes over, or delete that album for everyone.
4. Confirm.

What happens

• You leave every album, on all your linked devices.
• Your phone's notification address is removed from our servers.
• Everything Maky kept on your phone is erased: albums, photos, videos, comments, your name and picture.

This can't be undone. Photos you saved to your phone's own photo library stay there.

What stays with others

Photos, videos and comments you shared were sent to the phones of the people in those albums, and they keep their copies. The album history still shows that you were in it and left. If you want something gone for everyone, delete it, or ask an owner to, before you delete your data.

If you no longer have the app

Removing the app from your phone erases everything it kept there. We hold no sign-up, email address or photos to delete. Your phone's notification address on our servers stops working and is removed on its own.
