An album for every circle in your life.
Everything in Maky starts with a shared album: one for the baby, one for the trip, one for Sunday dinners, each with its own people. Open an album to see just its photos, or follow all of them at once in your timeline.

Simple by design. Tap the message, see the photo: large text, clear buttons, nothing to set up.
Just you and your people. Nobody else.
Most photo apps keep your pictures on a big company's servers, where they can be looked at, scanned and used. Even when they're encrypted, a copy stays behind on someone else's server. Maky works differently: your photos live on the phones of the people in the album. Nowhere else.
Not in a cloud. Not with Big Tech. Not even with us. And a copy that doesn't exist can't be stolen.
One album, one circle. Photos travel from person to person, and never leave it.
From person to person. Never through a server.
Most apps take a detour through a company's servers. With Maky, your photos go straight to Grandma, encrypted. No copy is left behind anywhere, so there's nothing to leak.
Getting everyone together takes seconds.

Whatever phone they have
The whole family can join, on iPhone or Android.
Made in the EU, where privacy is a right.
We're a small European team who wanted a place for family photos that doesn't belong to a tech giant. So we built Maky to keep your memories with you and the people you share them with, and nowhere else.
No ads. No selling your data. No looking at your photos, because we can't.

GGrandmaSo where are my photos, then?View reply
On your own phone and on the phones of the people in your album. When you add a photo, it's encrypted before it leaves your phone and only opened again on theirs.
GGrandpaWho can join my album?View reply
Only people you invite and let in yourself. Someone with the link still has to wait for your OK.
YYouWhat does it cost?View reply
Nothing. Maky is free, without ads, and we never sell anything about you.
GGrandmaDoes it work for my mum, who isn't good with phones?View reply
That's who we designed it for. She taps the invite link once, and from then on new photos just show up.
SSamCan the makers of Maky see my photos?View reply
No. Your photos never pass through our servers, and even if they did, they're encrypted with a key that only the members of your album have.
LLeaOther apps encrypt my photos too. What's the difference?View reply
An encrypted photo on a company's server is still a copy that sits somewhere else, often for years. It can leak in a break-in, be kept after you leave, or be opened later if the rules or the company change. With Maky there is no such copy: your photos only exist on the phones in your album. What was never stored can never be stolen.
MMilaDoes an algorithm decide what I see?View reply
No. Your feed simply shows everything from your albums in the order it happened, newest first. Nothing is hidden, pushed up or picked for you, and there are no ads in between. Scroll down and you're back in last week.
LLeaDo we all need to be online at the same time?View reply
No. New photos find their way to everyone in the album when their phones are on. You don't have to keep the app open.
SSamMaky is in beta. What does that mean?View reply
It works and families are already using it, but we're still polishing. As a tester you get new versions first, and you can tell us what you think right from the app. When the final version arrives, you keep your albums.
